Morocco will move its clocks forward by 60 minutes at 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 6, returning to GMT+1 after temporarily reverting to standard time during the holy month of Ramadan.
The Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform had previously announced that the country would switch to GMT at 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, February 23, 2025, to accommodate Ramadan. The decision was in line with Decree No. 2.18.855, issued on October 26, 2018, which regulates the kingdom’s legal time adjustments.
The biannual time change has been a subject of ongoing debate in Morocco, with proponents arguing it boosts economic productivity, while critics highlight its impact on daily routines and biological rhythms.
